About

With the tagline “For a Workers’ Republic and International Socialism”, The Worker was published by the Socialist Workers’ Movement (SWM).

It ran from 1972 until 1977 and was suspended during the period the SWM formed part of the Socialist Labour Party. It restarted in 1980 and was later succeeded by Socialist Worker.
