The Irish Communist Party (ICP) was established by former members of the Communist Party of Ireland (CPI) at a conference in June 2022 after divisions in the CPI. Members include those in Belfast associated with the Unity newspaper, which is continued as the paper of the ICP. Its national Chairperson is Eoin Ó Murchú.
