Northern Star was a monthly publication first published in 1988 as a successor to the Workers’ Association’s Workers’ Weekly. While it didn’t carry the Workers’ Association name, as with its predecessor, it was published by people associated with the British and Irish Communist Organisation, sharing an address with the Athol Books imprint.
From at least 2004, Athol Books’ Irish Political Review (IPR) carried mastheads for both IPR and Northern Star (and later was sub-titled “and Northern Star, incorporating Workers’ Weekly”).
