About

The Labour Party of Northern Ireland emerged from Labour Coalition (an alliance of Labour and left groups established for the Northern Ireland forum). It was established by Malachy Curran and contested NI Assembly elections. Curran last ran in 2007, and the party appears to be essentially defunct.

The party is not directly connected to the short-lived Labour Party of Northern Ireland extant in the 1980s, which formed part of Labour ‘87.
